The oil does make the shoes a bit darker, but they immediately look new, shiny, and ready to wear. I used the oil on natural colored leather, on colored leather and over color tarrago shoe polish. My shoes looked beautifully conditioned and I was really pleased.

I avoid using polish on open grained leathers, particularly browns & tans. I like the way this oil helps protect from water & stains and also helps to cover/repair minor scrapes & scuffs. Buffs out to a nice luster after 4-6 hours drying time.
