I use boot trees in the foot on 15 pairs of boots and that to me the foot is way more important IMHO than shaft trees.   This design may work for those who do not use a foot tree, but my foot trees keep these upper trees from providing any support to shaft.  Would not buy again since I use lower foot trees (sorry).
