just follow the directions on the jar and you'll be fine. this product did darken my boots but the leather has never felt so supple and healthy. I expect this product will extent them life of the boots.

but Atsko isn't kidding when they indicate "apply liberally." Need to apply several coats over several successive days. Remember to warm the shoe first (I use sunlight).

Easy application with the use of a hair dryer. The boots appear absolutely waterproof based on beading surface and interior feel. I'll be paying attention to reapplication schedule...

The product did not alter the color of Redwing "black cherry" smooth leather. Looks good...

If you spread it on and then use a heat gun or a hair dryer to melt it, the thirsty leather soaks the bee's wax right in. It conditions the leather and makes a long lasting seal- even where the upper joins the sole and also on stitch seams. Great product. Used it for years on my sporting boots. None better that I know of.
